Specifically designed to protect the analyst when weighing active drug compounds, the ST1 balance enclosures provide a turbulence free weighing environment which allow sensitive analytical and micro balances to operate effectively and also prevent powder loss or contamination which can occur in less controlled airflow environments.
The ST1 design provides a smooth laminar airflow across the face of the enclosure and around the balance. Airborne contaminants are carried away from the weighing zone and passed through a dedicated HEPA filtration system which is designed and proven to trap contaminants which would otherwise be released into the laboratory environment.
The ST1 range has been independently tested with various drug compounds for the manipulation and weighing of
active drug formulations and can provide an ECL (Exposure Control Limit) of less than 15ng/m3. For comparison to fume hood standards the ST1 range has also been tested and proven to perform to ASHRAE110 and EN14175 standards.

FlowTech Alarm...

To ensure operator safety, all ST1 enclosure systems are supplied with the FlowTech alarm specifically designed to provide warning in the event of an airflow failure.The FlowTech Dual Sensor alarm system measures the airflow across the face of the enclosure at two positions and provides the operator with alarm conditions in the event of flow failure across the opening of the enclosure. The FlowTech alarm is a unique alarm system that data logs alarm conditions and provides an audit trail facility for the
monitoring of flow performance.

process waste from the enclosure. Supplied in refill packs of 50 or 200.
